White Haired Man Sitting in the Hazelnut Grove
No one thought the naming of the baby through.
He'd be named after his father who
was named after his father who
wasn't named after his father.
The Welsh name had vague meanings
which were not particularly applicable to a baby.
Why call a baby boy gray or white haired?
Wise? How is a baby wise?
What was this about a grove of hazelnuts?
A sacred grove?
The name was simply passed down and
only recently did his hair begin
to fall into line with his name.
He had become a white haired man
with apple blossoms in his hair.
No, wrong poem.
